Fenella Smith specializes in guiding people to discover their future self. She works for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK) as he a specialist who is also an executive coach. Fenella has a masters degree from Antioch University and is working toward a Ph.D in Organizational Leadership at Indiana Wesleyan University, where she is a faculty member and teaches courses such as human resources development, human resources management, organizational behavior, and math.
Fenella also has a Black Belt in Six Sigma (seeks to identify and remove the causes of defects & errors in manufacturing). She is the Chief Learning Officer at Higher Learning Unlimited, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, that she created, to focus on providing high school students with opportunities available to them post high school. One of Fenella's most favorite things to do is to discuss Courageous Conversations.
Courageous conversations is moving beyond your fear of delivering messages that could generate disagreement and/or disappointment. She has presented Courageous Conversations to various groups at Toyota. In addition to Courageous Conversations, Fenella is the chairperson of TMMK’s only African American business partnering group, Toyota African American’s for Success (TAAS). The focus of TAAS is to assist team members think beyond their current circumstances.
